Working alongside a valued client, we delivered several efficient HVAC solutions for a multi-national client, who were opening a new warehouse facility in Redditch including an R&D Department.
The requirements of the project were to design, supply and install HVAC solutions for the following disciplines.
Design, supply and install Close Control Equipment to testing facility zones and laboratory areas.
Install DX Heat Pump Equipment to Air Handling Plant to provide tempered fresh air to the offices and warehouse areas
Design, supply, and Install Heat Recovery VRV Equipment to Office Areas
The requirement of this project was to provide close control to 4 critical testing rooms and lab areas. The criteria from the client were to provide spaces that could control between 21°c and 23°c for temperature and relative humidity of 50%. The close control element was to be 1°c for temperature and 5% RH for Humidity. For this element of the project, we worked closely with Kooltech / Marstair to propose equipment that could meet the tight demands of the client.
For this element of the project, we were tasked with supply and installing DX heat pumps to provide tempered fresh air to both the office and warehouse area. The warehouse area in particular was challenging due to the vast space (over 6500m2) and air volumes. We put forward a green solution to install a series of Daikin Heat Pump Condensers to a 4-stage heat pump coil with a VES Air Handling Unit. The design criteria for the warehouse was to cool down to 24°c in the summer and heat up to 18°c in the winter.
The client wanted to provide comfort heating and cooling to the office and presentation areas. As always, the client wants to deliver the most efficient and environmentally friendly solution, so on this element we worked with Mitsubishi Electric to design, supply, and install a Power Inverter Heat Recovery system to the Ground and First Floor Areas.
